I would like to honor Sue Morrison who lost her son Scott September 26, 2010 while he was serving in Afghanistan. Scott “Scottie” was a month shy of his 24th birthday when he passed away. Scottie was so full of life and impacted the lives of so many. He went into the military after a fellow Sycamore High School grad died in combat. A mother should never have to go through something like this and I can’t even begin to imagine the pain she feels. I know every day is a struggle for her to live without her son. I would love for Scottie’s mom to enjoy a night out in honor of her son who made the ultimate sacrifice. Nothing will ever bring Scott back, but this will be a fun night his mom can spend honoring him. Please pick Sue Morrison!

I have been a serving member of the US military for the last 22 years. My son is a US Marine as you can see from the photo. Memorial day is a day for reflection for me and my family - every single male member of my family has served the US military and we believe it is our obligation to serve. I recently retired this last Friday, on the same day that my son was honorably discharged from the Marine Corp. This the first time in 3 generations that a Smith has not been wearing a uniform of our country - so while I am happy were all home and safe, I feel as if we have abandoned our post and there is no one on the watch.

I am writing on behalf of my husband who is currently in Youngstown , OH for his reserve weekend. My husband Master Sergeant Trevor Sajdak has served our country for over 20 years in the Air Force Reserves. He has been deployed three times to Iraq since we have been together. I admire his dedication and am proud to be a military spouse. I do not have a recent pic to share but I do have one from when he enlisted 20 years ago.My husband recently performed as a guest poser at the Tri-State Bodybuilding Championships in Dayton, OH. He dedicated his performance to all his fellow troops past and present.
